The Ghanaian Catholic Community of Chicago gathers to worship the Lord in our own language, music and tradition — united with all Catholics of Ghanaian descent across the city. We meet at Blessed Maria Gabriella Parish.
The Ghanaian Catholic Community of Chicago was born from the desire of Ghanaian immigrant Catholics to unite and worship the Lord in their own native languages and cultural expression, while remaining fully rooted in the Catholic Church. With the blessing of His Eminence Cardinal Blase J. Cupich and the Archdiocese of Chicago, our community was formally inaugurated in February 2017.
Today we continue to gather each Sunday at Blessed Maria Gabriella Parish — praying, singing and celebrating together as one Ghanaian Catholic family in the heart of Chicago.
